Hey! We're playing in Minneapolis tomorrow! Two shows at 7th Street, one in the afternoon for the kids, one in the evening for the grownups. You should all come. I don't care where you live, you should show up. Everyone. I'm not just talking people who live within, say, 300 miles. I'm talking everyone. Please don't disappoint me.

The "listening party" was fun, just friends & good food & drinks, & we listened to the record too many times, Andy put on Fred Lane, and I danced out the door. Summer is here, maybe it's here for good; and here you can stay out late, the nights and early mornings are warm and comfortable, you can parade naked through the streets and everyone says hello. I'm excited for the shows next weekend - lots of friends in from out of town, a brief road trip, adventure! Carousing! I don't yet know of anything better. But life is long.

I forgot to say: our new record is out. If you're inspired, you should buy it and listen to it many many times, until you're absolutely certain.

I know I shouldn't write so much here... but the craziest thing happened. I'm sure you can appreciate how I feel. In 1998, we toured for a couple of months, had horrible van trouble, spent a couple weeks with Dianogah, Andy moved to Chicago - and I wrote it all down, I kept journals the whole time. Then this horrible thing happened: they all got lost, the machine they were on went down and was destroyed and then the one they were backed up on fucked up too. I've always been saddened by this.

Well, you see where this is going. I found them. They're not the greatest, but still, I feel like I've got a large chunk of my memories back. I hooted aloud, let me tell you!

So much is new, but I'm not going to tell you about it. From now on I am going to be known for my secretive ways. I have done one thing, though, and let me just say it was Tim's idea to make a page that just lists the dates of our upcoming shows. I thought he was whacked in the head; and while that may still be true, the page with the list of dates of shows was not a bad idea. I have implemented it; and now, bedtime.
