Call me crazy, but I changed the damned font. And not only that, we're playing at South by Southwest in March. We're playing twice. It's fucking bullshit man! See the upcoming shows page for the disgusting details.

If nothing is written there, please check back soon.

We've honed our sound to such precision that our new record, when it comes out in 2017, is going to be about twelve minutes long, and you will orgasm when you hear it. It may actually come out before then, we'll see. We keep working on it, it's got to come out sometime.

That's about it: Boogerville in March, and a new record, sometime. How about you? How were the holidays?

Oh, that's great, that's really great.

P.S. My cynical attidude regarding SXSW is in jest. We're playing Friday and Saturday night, the New Year will be there, and Consonant, and Mission of Burma, and even Joel Phelps fer chrissake! We're doing the 12XU showcase, which means Silkworm and jrlp on the same bill! Balls! You know what happened last time, don't you? We fought like wild fucking pigs, and swore it would never happen again! But it's just like the Eagles, man: Hell froze over. It's time to rock Boogerville!

Remember that benefit show we played at the Abbey Pub a little while back, the benefit for Mike Betts? He had cancer. The news is, I've heard that he does not have cancer any longer. Isn't that something?

That's the news. The weather in Chicago has turned dismally cold but this morning the sun is shining like a bright bright sun, so I am going to the beach. We're still working on new stuff, we'll be going back into the studio soon to fuck around with the new stuff... and of course we'll playing in Boston, Brooklyn, and Alfred. I hope to see you all there.

Nothing much to report. Just a reminder that we're playing two shows this weekend: at Schuba's in Chicago on Friday, and at the Cactus in Milwaukee on Saturday. Both nights will be filled with captivating rock and roll. I hope you can join us.

What's happening now, what ... I'm sure it's been ages since I've updated this thing. We're playing on Monday, yes this coming Monday September 8th, at the Abbey Pub, it's a benefit show which should hopefully be of some help to a person in desperate need of medical attention. We'll be playing covers, I think, all covers - some familiar, some not so familiar. We're playing covers because we don't want to step on the toes of our show at Schuba's later in the month - that's on the 26th, followed immediately by a show in Milwaukee the next night. And look at this! Next weekend, the weekend after this one, we're playing two shows in Pittsburgh! It's madness.

So we've been in and out of the studio for a while now. Our work ethic in the studio is becoming more and more comical... like, where we used to book five days, spend the first three recording ten or twelve songs, and the next two days mixing and finishing the thing, now we book a couple days when we can, and spend those two days recording a song or two, maybe mixing a song or two... and talking about Steely Dan, or George Bush, or food, or eating food, or talking about drinking, or drinking, etc. It's an enjoyable, if not the most efficient, pace.

So go to all of these shows. Eventually a new record will be completed and it will come out some time after that. Please enjoy the rest of the good weather, because soon it will be nothing but ice and wind and flooding and terror.

Somehow we've gone from abject laziness to playing five shows in the month of September. Five shows! That's practically a tour! It's madness.

That's all I have to say. Back to the studio this weekend, but don't get your hopes up - there's still alot of work to be done.
