The Chain/Our Secret

Temporary Freedom 1992 TEMPO 2

Two inscriptions on the vinyl: "Don't blow it Dug", and "That's no ono, that's my bass". The first is a plea for Dug Martsch not to fuck off from the Treepeople, which he did, leaving the Treepeople much the worse for it, but himself of course going on to some fame and fortune. The second is a response to the first ever review of L'ajre, in which Jeff Gilbert referred to us as sounding like "...Yoko Ono on glue....".
