a friend at work recommended Ali G so i rented the first season on dvd. (for those who haven't heard, he is a British comedian who plays three distinctive characters and currently airs in the States on HBO).
one of the characters is a hiphop styled reporter who interviews the likes of nader,gingrich, buzz aldrin, marlin fitzwater, and donald trump. he begins the interviews with a normal question but quickly digresses into nonsensical, usually lewd tangents, reminiscent perhaps of andrew dice clay with the innocence of andy kaufman. the other two are characters a newly landed immigrant from Kazakhstan and a gay fashion critic from Austria.
can't say i would recommend the whole lot but it has some hilarious moments.
