ON the sleep-no-more Comsat Angels fan group on Yahoo! there was significant discussion about this set. It is a bootleg - same tracks as the RPM reissues and a fourth of Island Records demos. The band has come forward on the group to disavow the box, and its existence and sell through to the small fan community does hurt discussions with Polydor on a legitimate box reissue of the early Comsats material, which have apparently been ongoing...

Without a doubt the box set is a good deal, and I was about to order one when I realized that I had already ripped CSA off with CD-Rs of the otherwise unattainable RPM reissues and would like them to get a couple bux if I was to actually BUY said music. All the same, in the absence of reasonably priced CDs, better this than an EBay Extortionist. If it's a boot, it was so well distributed that maybe it is "actionable" in court.
