Speaking of the show...where can we get tickets for this thing? I didn't see them selling them online at the Red Fly or SXSW sites...I'd hate to go all the way there and have it sell out!

Hey Matt,

I did some looking into this a while back. Option 1 is the all-encompassing music badge that will set you back several hundred dollars but guarantee you admission into every event/show. Next option is wristbands, which I’ve heard go on sale in Austin (and possibly online somewhere) about a week in advance for $100. These will get you into every show as long as capacity remains after badge holders. Third option is buying a ticket at the door (I don’t think you can buy individual show tickets in advance). But these are only available if there is capacity left beyond badge & wristband owning people. Fourth option, I suppose, would be getting on someone’s guest list (assuming SXSW allows guest lists).

I don’t have any firsthand experience as to how crowded things get and if counting on being able to score a ticket at the door is realistic. I guess if I decided to go I would try to get a wristband in advance somehow.

While there are a couple of shows I would really, really like to see (chiefly SKWM & JRLP) it seems like in the long run it might not be worth it. I fear an overly packed city, overly packed venues, not being able to get in for sure, shortened sets, etc.

Maybe someone out there can substantiate or refute any or all of the above.
