I'm about to shut down new entries to the message board. As soon as I can figure out how to do it w/o deleting the stuff that is already here.
The spam is getting out of hand, and I don't have time to deal with it. I would set up a registered-users-only board, but I don't have time to learn all that stuff.
I'll put important announcements here and on the main page. The big things upcoming would be the release of the tribute record, which is Ike's thing, and the release of the last SKWM recordings.
As to the latter:
Andy, Biznono, Steve, Heather, and I finished the last SKWM stuff a couple of weeks ago. It will be out on 12XU (www.12xu.net) in the fall, and it should all be available digitally before then.
Tentative title: Chokes
I think it will have Hiroshi Kimura cover art.

The first four songs, we tracked the basic instrumental tracks at Electrical a few weeks before Michael was killed. Biz came in and put Mellotron on IHoG, and we finished up the singing.
Wrote a Song is a CCR song that we recorded during the Lifestyle sessions. It didn't turn out as well as Ooh La La, so it didn't make the record. Biz put a little elec piano on it; otherwise, it is as mixed at that time.
Spanish Harlem Incident is a Dylan song. This is a live-to-DAT version played as the Crust Brothers. Andy drums, Malk and I play gtr, and Mikey sings.
It's all pretty good.
Anyway, keep an eye on the site regardless of board status, if you've any interest in the remaining activity surrounding the band. I would like to make the site more of an archive of SKWM's past musical activity, so it may become more useful on that front in the future.
