RE: semi-official word on michael
I remeber going to see Chris Brokaw play at a place during the Chicago Undergroud Film Festival. Don't remeber the name of the place. I was there alone, wearing my red and white SKWM t-shirt. In walks Michael. He noticed my shirt and we said hello. A minute later, he turns to me and says, "are you hungry?" He was about to buy some tamales and he offered to buy me some as well. I had never met Michael before, although I had seen him play many times. I was struck by the absoulute kindness of his gesture. I have loved SKWM since the first day I heard Tarnished Angel at the college radio station I worked at. Michael was intergal to the sound. I loved the way he beat the fuck out of the drums. He was awsome. I'm really sorry that this happened. I feel for everyone close to Michael, SKWM and Doug and John. Love to all.
