This is a cruel and senseless occurrence.
For years Silkworm has been my "go to" band when life was getting me down.
I was so excited when the band moved to Chicago and flourished here. Although I didn't know Michael personally his strength of character and down-to-earth friendliness shone from the stage at every show - not to mention his powerful skills behind the kit.
It is worth noting that the last Silkworm show in Chicago was a benefit to help a sick child. That's got to say something about their priorities.
Very sorry that all I can offer otherwise are condolences to Tim and Andy and to Michael's friends and family.
